Nutramax Web Accessibility Policy

Nutramax Laboratories, Inc. (“Nutramax”) is committed to making its web properties accessible to individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.  In accordance with this commitment, we have adopted a Web Accessibility Policy to improve the user experience of our web properties.

For the purposes of this policy, the Worldwide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.  We strive to adhere to the WCAG guidelines to ensure that our web properties are accessible to a broad range of individuals with disabilities.

Design and Development Principles

When designing and developing our products, we integrate accessibility principles into our processes. We consider the following aspects to ensure an inclusive experience: 

1. Keyboard Accessibility: All functionality and content must be operable using a keyboard interface, allowing users who cannot use a mouse or other pointing device to navigate and interact with our software.
2. Visual Contrast: We strive to maintain sufficient contrast between text and background colors to ensure readability for users with low vision or color blindness.
3. Alternative Text: Images and non-text content are provided with alternative text descriptions, allowing users who use screen readers or have images disabled to understand the content.
4. Headings and Structure: Proper use of headings, labels, and hierarchical structure helps users navigate and understand the content using assistive technologies.
5. Link Text: All hyperlinks should make sense when read out of context, and hyperlinks are clearly presented in a different text style from normal body text.
6. Form Accessibility: Our forms are designed to be accessible, including clear instructions, properly associated labels, and appropriate error validation messages.
7. Time-Based Media: We provide captions and transcripts for pre-recorded audio and video content to accommodate users who are deaf or hard of hearing.
8. Ongoing Efforts

We are committed to continually improving the accessibility of our products.  To ensure ongoing compliance, we undertake the following:

1. Accessibility Testing: We regularly conduct accessibility testing using a combination of automated tools, manual reviews, and user testing to identify and address any accessibility barriers.
2. Employee Training: We provide training to our employees involved in design, development, content creation, and customer support to raise awareness about web accessibility and its importance.
3. Accessibility Roadmap: We maintain an accessibility roadmap to prioritize and track the implementation of accessibility improvements.  This roadmap is regularly reviewed and updated to address any identified barriers or new accessibility requirements.
